Silver Medal Award
The Black Hills Advertising Federation is now accepting nominations for the 2008
Silver Medal Award.
The Silver Medal Award recognizes men and women who have made outstanding contributions
to advertising and have been active in furthering the industry’s standards. It also
acknowledges creative excellence in areas of social concern. The award is considered
by the American Advertising Federation and the BHAF as the highest honor bestowed
upon a practitioner by his/her peers.
Some of the past Silver Medal winners have been: Gogie Enstad, Bob Laskowski, Kevin
Philips, Lia Green, Kyle Mattison, Michael Derby, Tom Franklin, Helen Duhamel just
to name a few.
The winner of the award will be honored at the 2008 Silver Medal Banquet and Black
Hills Advertising Awards May 8th at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center.

or peers, please email info@bhaf.org for a nomination form or call 863-2186. Nominations
will be accepted until March 15th.
Things to consider:
Contributions to his/her company: The winner must have achieved success in one of
the following areas of work: advertising agency, advertiser, media, or advertising
service company.
Creative Ability: The winner must have shown a consistent; high degree of creative,
original thinking in whatever phase of advertising this person has worked.
Contributions to the general advancement of advertising: The award winner should
have worked to increase the stature and raise the standards of the advertising profession.
Contributions to the community: The recipient should be a man or woman who has been
active in civic, religious or other groups dedicated to some phase of human or social
value.
